Mr. Sanjeev Kumar
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, the Founder & President of SARVARTH, is a social-development professional, researcher, social activist and a freelance writer. He is postgraduate in political science from University of Delhi, India. His career, spanning over two decades, showcases a rich blend of expertise in program management, implementation, research, writing, including technical &strategic support at policy level.
Mr. Kumar has extensively worked in areas of nutrition, maternal and child health, reproductive& adolescents health, community wellbeing, urban poor, rural development, child protection in India. His contributions extend to collaborations with government departments, international organizations, bilateral, multilateral donor agencies, research institutes, and academia for technical, strategic & policy advocacy support. His accumulated work experience demonstrates his intense engagement with diverse community groups, community institutions, civil society organizations and community at large in different regions of India. His work areas in India include states such as Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi.
Mr. Kumar is actively engaged in policy analysis through learning exchange &evidenced based advocacy programs concerning social-development programs and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) goals in India.

Overall, 30 plus years of work experience in the Human Development sector. Written and contributed to several technical reports and worked extensively on M&E design of Nutrition, Early Childhood Development, and Health Projects. As a World Bank Staff for 12 years (1996-2007), worked as a Technical Specialist on projects assisting Nutrition and Early Childhood Development (ECD), Disease Control and Health Systems, and Rural Poverty Alleviation. Being focal country staff for the World Bank assistance to Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) projects in India (in 4 phases) provided technical and operational support especially in areas of ECD and Nutrition.
